Purchase Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Carbon monoxide poisoning is ocurring often enough that states are beginning to pass laws requireing people to purchase detectors for their homes. People and animals are very susceptible to toxic carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is a gas you can’t see or smell.  This makes it extremely dangerous. Carbon monoxide comes from appliences that burn gas or oil.  If the ventilation is not done correctly, carbon monoxide can be vented into your house. Living areas can quickly become dangerous when large amounts of carbon monoxide is not properly vented.

Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include feeling tired, nauseous, and having a headache. If more then one person in your house feels this way, get out of your house right away. Carbon monoxide can cause both brain damage and finally death if you are exposed to it for too long.

Ultimately it is up to you as to what your needs are for your individual house.  Remember battery operated models need to have their batteries replaced every six months.
